When you’re in a tight spot: A promise you can cling to

God sees you. He sees the tight space you are in. When the walls feel like they are closing in, He sees the pressure building and the fear rising.

Did you know that there’s a promise in Scripture waiting for you when you’re in a tight place?

Let me show you…

Look at Psalms 107. If you read the whole chapter you’ll notice that 5 times God says this:

“Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered then from their distress”.

You can find this in verses 6, 13, 19 and 28.

Lets go back to the original language because there’s something amazing hidden here if we look at the definitions of some of the words used here.

For example, did you know that the word trouble and distress, although two different words can be translated tight place or narrow place?

Let’s make this promise personal so you can claim it, believe it and hold onto it:

“Then (your name) cries to the Lord in her tight place and He rescued her without fail from that tight place”.

Sweet friend, no matter if that tight place is a family situation, monetary, a stressful situation at work, or with your kids, today I am believing this truth for you: If you cry out to God – He will show up and rescue you without fail from that tight place.
